Kunn is the story of "rowdies" who lived in Ottoman Empire between the 17th and 20th century.
The majority of "rowdies" were orphans from a young age, often living in the streets of cities and towns. "Rowdies" owned the streets, and through time, assigned themselves the task of keeping the neighborhood secure by taking on a gangster-like role. The look was very important and the "rowdies" would dress up in style, looking sharp at all times. They would wear white shirts and vests, with a jacket strewn over the shoulder. Folding and stepping on the back of their cuban heeled leather shoe, without fully putting their foot in, was the very signature of their style. This is where Kunn comes from. The attitude and style of these 'city knights' is reborn through Kunn’s designs, and the skillful work of Turkish craftsmen.
The "rowdies" look is the inspiration for Kunn and we recommend wearing them like the "rowdies"; with the heel folded down, and stepped on.
